Learning Disabilities

Students with learning disabilities are often overwhelmed by the simplest of tasks. The difficulties they face in a group learning environment are often ignored by their tutors, and they end up taking a hit to their confidence. It is hence extremely important to understand where they are facing difficulties and address them individually in a structure that is comfortable to both the tutor and student.

 

As the mother of a child who had learning disabilities, I made it a point to learn how to effectively cater to their needs. I have had extensive personal experience tutoring children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, attention deficit disorder, and other learning impediments. I am patient and kind and help them achieve their goals at their own pace.

 

My unique teaching method for individuals with learning disabilities can be customised, depending on their specific needs. I enjoy watching all my students succeed and working with these special individuals helps me learn new things as a teacher.
